The
growing need to increase security levels at metal
detectors checkpoints has led to new international
standards. These require detection of magnetic,
non-magnetic and mixed-composition weapons, of limited
dimensions and minimum weight.
100% detection of these weapons over the whole metal
detector transit area, coupled with a high level of
discrimination with respect to metal personal effects,
is a huge challenge even for the latest generation metal
detectors.
Based on these new security requirements, CEIA has
developed the 02PN10 Metal Detector, which can be
considered state of the art as regards detection
efficiency and allowable flow rate.
The advantages of the 02PN10 Metal Detector have been
assessed in laboratory and field tests by some of the
world’s most important security bodies, which have
chosen the detector to protect airports under their
management. The 02PN10 whilst maintaining the same
sensitivity levels, offers the possibility of reducing
by up to a factor of 4 the number of alarms related to
metal personal effects.
The detector’s control unit is incorporated into the
structure. Access to programming is protected both by a
mechanical lock and by two alphanumeric passwords.
The 02PN10 is manufactured using the most advanced
electronics technology, conforming to ISO 9001 Quality
Control Standard procedures.
